Glossary
Columbus offers an abundance
of residential neighborhoods. Central Ohio can accommodate most budgets
and lifestyles. Old neighborhoods have dusted themselves off and are polishing
themselves up. Neighborhoods like German Village and Victorian Village,
both within a two minute bus ride from the heart of downtown Columbus,
have become increasingly popular with professionals seeking an urban lifestyle
and a convenient commute.
A return to neighborhood school assignments and
a passage of a school operating levy has helped spark the first significant
increase in enrollment in Columbus Public Schools in over 20 years, a sign
that the city was becoming more attractive to families. There is new construction
and a brisk resale market for existing homes.
