Grant Writer, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, the University of Texas at Austin, 1992. Assisted the College of Education at the University of Texas, Austin to prepare grant proposals seeking 1.5 million to plan and develop Centers for Professional Development and Technology.

Software Engineer/Technical Writer, PIDEAC, Yellow Springs, Ohio, 1986-1989. Designed and implemented Pascal and C code for pattern recognition algorithms and user-defined video control functions in field of biometric research, involving image processing and statistical analyses. Used software package RS/1 to model & test statistical analyses of pattern recognition schemes. Composed and edited technical documentation, military contract documentation (monthly, semiannual, annual, MIL specs), draft contracts. Designed layouts of deliverable documentation using WordPerfect and First Publisher software programs. Designed and wrote user manual for PIDEAC'S biometric-related identification system. Patent for biometric identification invention awarded 1991.
